One of the prettiest villages in the Cyclades, Paros is known for its labyrinth of narrow stone-paved streets and its diverse natural beauty outside of the island’s centre. Here travellers will find contemporary boutiques and restaurants beside traditional tavernas, historical monuments and charming rural villages.Boasting 120km of coastline, Paros offers blonde-sand beaches, some tranquil and quiet to disconnect from it all and others with a thriving party vibe, lined with bars, restaurants and beach clubs. On the water, jet skiers, water skiers and kite surfers fly by.With a balance of natural beauty and tradition alongside a bustling summer holiday atmosphere with all the bars, shops and clubs you could desire, a yacht charter of Paros satiates every craving.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

The peak summer months are June, July and August. During this time, tourists descend on this cluster of Islands, and boats can be seen dotted all around the Aegean Sea. Temperatures sit, on average, in the high 20°Cs and often above 30°C.

May and September are considered shoulder months but are still perfect for booking a private yacht charter in Paros. The temperatures in both May and September stay above 20°C.

One consideration that has to be made when travelling to the Cyclades and Paros, in particular, is its openness to the Aegean Sea. The beauty of this region is in the islands dotted across the water. However, exposed to the open sea, these islands are prone to getting windy. Those 25 °C days can thus warrant a shawl. Even during the peak summer months, it’s worth keeping a light shawl on hand. If you don’t have one, you can be certain to find a gorgeous boutique with just what you need in an array of authentically Greek colours, like turquoise or stone white.

Activities & Experiences

For a holistic experience on your luxury yacht charter of Paros, we recommend exploring all the faces this island offers to its visitors.

There is nowhere better to try your hand at windsurfing. Paros and a hotspot for this sport, and there are numerous windsurfing schools ready to get you cruising atop the sea.

If learning a new sport is not your idea of fun, Paros’ open sea is a perfect place to pull out the jet ski or book a watersport package on the beach and have some fun bobbing along the water at high speeds.

There is something romantic and awe-inspiring about wandering a labyrinth of narrow stone-paved streets.

For those who love to get lost, stumbling upon quaint stores, cafes, bars and tavernas, Paros town centre, Parikia, is the perfect place to spend an afternoon before dinner and a cocktail at one of the many nearby bars and restaurants.

It’s hard to find a bad meal in Paros. Still, certain restaurants shine brighter than others. One of our absolute favourites is Barbarossa, located in the North, on the water in the town of Naoussa.

Within a whitewashed building sat beside the water where boats lazily bob along the water. This is a first-class dining experience so laid back that you could stay there all day.

Located in the North near the island’s second-largest town, Naoussa, Kolymbithres beach is one of the most beautiful on the island.

Occupying several little bays that are divided by rocks, the scenery here is spectacular. Easier to traverse by water, Kolymbirthes is best explored on your Paros yacht charter. You can access quiet coves from your boat and enjoy the crystal waters away from the busy beaches.

There is a uniquely large number of churches on this small island. Some were built as far back as the 6th century.

Renowned for this high density of churches, there are many tours you can join to visit these epic monuments and learn about the rich history related to each.
