BEST TIME TO VISIT

The relatively temperate climate in Marbella means that visitors can be assured of pleasant weather most months of the year. Thanks to the ever present humidity this lively city is rarely cold, however we recommend planning a trip during the warmer months. Average summer temperatures from June to August range from 25°C to 27°C, making it ideal for relaxing onboard your luxury yacht or enjoying the many beaches on offer.

To avoid the peak tourist crowds, consider visiting in the shoulder months of May, September or October. Off peak travellers can still expect to enjoy average temperatures between 22°C and 25°C during these months.

Old Town

We recommend stopping in at Arco Tapas Bar or Taberna Tierraranda for tapas and sangria.

Avenida del Mar

This giant town square nestled between Marbella's oldest post and the Alameda Park is also known as Sea Avenue. While it would be worth a visit for its beautiful terraces and welcoming shops and bars alone, the real drawcard is the art. No less than ten Salvadore Dali sculptures call this square home, making it more open-air museum than shopping precinct.

Bounty Beach

Located just 1.4km from the Old Port of Marbella, Bounty Beach is conveniently located and well populated. After a morning of sightseeing, take a trip down to this impressive expanse of pristine sand for an afternoon of water sports, beach volleyball and relaxation. With adequate public facilities onsite, this beach is suitable for all members of the family.

The Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation

Found a short walk from Plaza de los Naranjos, this awe inspiring cathedral is well worth a visit. Admire the beautiful ornamental statues and paintings, as well as the Rococo sculpted door frame. The site offers a shady seating area, the perfect place to bring a picnic.

Marbella Promenade

Also known as Paseo Maritimo, this seven kilometre seaside walkway connects Puerto Deportivo de Marbella, and Puerto Banús. In the summer months, this promenade comes alive with street performers, musicians and locals alike crossing paths under the palm trees. While there’s no shortage of tapas bars and inviting shops along the way, you’ll also stumble across the Marbella Lighthouse and an inspiring view of the distant African coast.

Puerto Banús

If you enjoy the nightlife, Puerto Banús cannot be missed. This upscale marina is where you’ll find the rich and famous unwinding after a long day. Located seven kilometres west of Old Town, this picturesque marina is home to bars and nightclubs suited for everyone's taste and budget. Iconic venues like Pangea and Sinatra’s will make you want to dress to the nines and rub shoulders with the beautiful patrons. Dance till dawn at Kube for a clubbing experience you won't soon forget, or drop in at O’Grady’s Irish Pub for a more relaxed atmosphere.
