Yacht Charters Valencia

Where contemporary culture meets old world charm

Partake in a buzzing food scene, enjoy modern art or simply gaze upon this 2,000 year old Spanish city from the comfort of your luxury yacht. However you choose to experience this historic port town, we can make it happen with a yacht charter in Valencia.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

Like most Spanish port cities, Valencia is fortunate enough to experience temperate weather for most of the year.

Heatseekers should plan to visit between July and September when the mercury can soar to 30°C, perfect for taking a dip in the sparkling Mediterranean sea. Temperatures reach the mid 20°Cs or above any time between May and October, meaning conditions are perfect for beach excursions at least half of the year.

Although temperatures may not regularly crack 20°C, those seeking to attend the renowned Falles celebration should definitely visit in March. This time of the year is ideal for sightseeing on foot thanks to the slightly cooler days.

Activities & Experiences

Fancy a relaxing day of seaside shopping followed by a private dinner on the deck of your luxury yacht? How about an action packed day of exploring and partying? Whatever your poison, this city has you covered. Consider these unmissable activities to make the most of your yacht charter in Valencia:

Held each March, the Falles celebration is held in commemoration of Saint Joseph. Not for the fainthearted, this colourful spectacle includes extensive pyrotechnics and fireworks displays which can reach 120 decibels for keen bystanders. While the pyrotechnic demonstrations take place daily from the 1st to 19th of March, the five main celebration days are the 15th to 19th of March. During the main celebration days, see elaborate paper mache puppets be paraded through the streets before being enthusiastically set on fire.

One of the 12 Treasures of Spain, the expansive City of Arts and Sciences is a modern marvel. This futuristic group of distinct buildings includes a planetarium, an oceanarium and a museum containing many interactive exhibits. Alongside the more educational facilities, the complex also includes an IMAX cinema and the city’s first purpose-built opera venue. The Palau des les Arts opera venue is host to frequent performances of theatre, dance and of course, opera.

This ancient city is bursting with fascinating architectural landmarks built in various styles from Romanesque and Gothic, to Rococo and Art Nouveau. Take a stroll through history and check out the many historical sites dotted throughout the town. The 13th century Valencia Cathedral features expertly crafted stained glass windows, gilt moulding and vaulted ceilings. The Cathedral also claims to have the one true Holy Grail, an intricately decorated stone chalice. The Gothic style chamber of commerce La Lonja de la Seda is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and the Valencian Gothic style Serranos Gate built in the 14th century is also well worth a visit.

While many historical landmarks are located within easy walking distance of Valencia’s Old Town, that’s not all this city has to offer. Get lost in the winding city alleyways, enjoy vibrant street art by artists established and up and coming, and enjoy a bite to eat at the many delicious eateries. Swing by Cafe de las Horas for some signature Agua De Valencia, before losing your inhibitions in one of many well appointed night clubs which are open well into the morning.
