MAGNA GRECIA Completes an Impressive Refit in 2019
Originally built in 1986 by Elsflether Verft, MAGNA GRECIA began an extensive refit in 2016 –following 30 successful years of cruising. The refit was undertaken by Greek design studio Navinco Ltd with architect George Tsokris leading the project. The interior designs are from Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski. The refit was completed in March 2019. Here are all the new features you can look forward to when you charter this incredible superyacht.
Major build updates & inclusions
To accommodate the newly planned rooms and increase the manoeuvrability of the yacht, an elongated hull was designed which takes her full size to 63.8m. Added on to this is a removable helideck to allow for winter heliskiing. Multiple new systems and appliances have also been fitted, including:
- Siemens control and monitoring systems
- Consilium fire control system
- XENEX galley equipment
- 3 new tenders
Updates to interior design
Francesco Paszkowski describes the new interiors as elegant, understated and contemporary. They feature dark woods, lacquered panels, marble and hard leathers. Two new rooms have been added; a cinema room and a private studio which can be converted into an additional guest cabin.
